Snow Night/Morning

I have been wishing for a snow day so that I could get some work done around the house.  But even though it snowed Sunday night, I didn't really get my snow day.

I actually had Monday off since it was President's Day.  The office was closed.   And K didn't have school either - Teacher Work Day.  Since it was a planned day off - we had a slumber party Sunday night so that we could watch a movie and then spend some time together be ready to go on a field trip the next day.

However, the added bonus was that it started snowing.    We enjoyed watching the snow come down.   We turned off the lights in the living room and turned on the lights outside and watched it come down.  K even went outside for a few minutes to attempt to attempt to catch a few snowflakes with her tongue.  But she learned really quickly, that it was too cold and wet to stand out there too long.

But with the morning sun, came the morning melt.  But that didn't stop K from venturing out in the snow to attempt to make a snow man.

There was just enough snow to make one.  But not quite enough for snow angels or snow cream.  Oh well, maybe next time.

After playing in the snow, we sat down for a yummy breakfast of pancakes, bacon and milk and then headed out on a field trip for the day.

Not a bad way to do a little living and laughing.
